We’re all looking for that edge to reach our health and fitness goals, and supplementation is a great way to help you achieve those goals. While they’re not the most important element in getting the results you want (eating and training properly are higher priorities), they are paramount to looking and feeling AMAZING. With that, below is the Faster Fitness complete supplement guide:

Here’s our approach to supplements: It’s virtually impossible to get the optimal vitamin, mineral and nutrient intake you need from food alone. Based on our experience, it is essential (but not required) to take specific supplements to look, feel and perform how you want.

Here is the hierarchy of supplements that we recommend: Dietary > Essentials > Goal Based

 

Dietary Supplements – Prioritize hitting your nutrition goals

Protein Powders – Great for meal replacements and post workout protein 1-2 times a day. We recommend Orgain for dairy free and Quest for a delicious dairy based option.

 

Protein Bars – Excellent protein and fiber for a meal replacement 1-2 times a day. We recommend No Cow Bars for a dairy free options. For dairy based options, favor One bars and Quest bars.

 

Wellness Greens – This is our favorite vegetable meal replacement on the market. Consume 1 serving a day with water or in a protein shake. It’s great for detoxification, ph balance, gut health (14B Live and Active Cultures, which is the equivalent of a probiotic), it prevents diseases like cancer (anti-oxidant power of over 20 servings of fruits and vegetables), and overall health.

 

Essentials – The most impactful supplements for optimal health

Multi-Vitamin – A high potency multi vitamin improves your energy, metabolism and prevents deficiencies that leads to hormonal imbalances and not feeling your best every day. The brand we carry recommends 4-6 caps a day, so a 1 a day just won’t cut it.

Fish Oil – Fish oil improves focus, memory, brain health, fat burning and reduces inflammation. Be sure to go with a high quality fish oil that will provide 1-2 grams of fish oil with a great balance of DHA (brain benefits) and EPA (inflammation reduction).

Goal Based

Fast Fat Loss: Carnitine Synergy – Carnitine increases your metabolism and fat burning considerably.

Pre-Workout: Xtend (without caffeine) or XtendGO (with caffeine) – BCAA formula and brain fuel to help you perform your best every workout.

Stress and Sleep Support: Magnesium. Chelated mag avoids stomach issues & is absorbed up to 40% better. This is amazing for improving stress tolerance, lowering cortisol, and improving sleep quality.

Sleep Support – Melatonin – Fast and time release formulas help you get good, deep sleep. We suggest between 5-15 mg per day, 20 min before bed is ideal for most, but you can take up to 30 mg per day safely. Start with fast released to fall asleep, and add time released if you need more help staying asleep. The ideal mix is unique to each person.

There are thousands of different types of supplements on the market, and most products have not been approved by the FDA due to the loose regulations in the supplement industry.

While I personally experiment with different supplements than the ones above, I strongly urge you to never lose sight of the most important ones and to get them from people that have nutriton coaching experience or certification.

10 years from now, there will be no better supplement that you can take than a high potency multi-vitamin. Because it’s really like 30 supplements in 1!
